Have you heard? Charleston Dermatology is one of the sponsors for the third annual Bosch 5K, which will be held on March 18 at the North Charleston Riverfront Park.

For the past three years, Robert Bosch LLC has hosted this 5K in Charleston to benefit local nonprofits in the Lowcountry. In previous years, the proceeds from this event have gone to support Katie’s Krops and BackPack Buddies. This year, the proceeds from the 5K will benefit the Dee Norton Lowcountry Children’s Center.

The Dee Norton Lowcountry Children’s Center provides an array of best-practice services to children and their families when there is a concern for child abuse or trauma exposure.

“Knowing that we are helping local families in need is the whole reason why we got involved,” said Dr. Adam Sperduto, one of Charleston Dermatology’s physicians. “It also gives us an opportunity to connect with our neighbors in support of an amazing cause.”

The organizer of the event, Robert Bosch LLC, is a German automotive parks manufacturer that makes advanced fuel injectors and anti-lock brake system components. The company opened its Lowcountry plant in 1973.

“We have been interested in getting to know other businesses in the North Charleston community,” said Dr. Sperduto. “The Bosch 5K is the perfect event to get involved and give back to our community.”
