Moncks Corner
Part of the Charleston-North Charleston-Summerville Metropolitan Area, Moncks Corner is a small town in Berkeley County named after its original landowner, Thomas Monck.
This Lowcountry community was also granted the trademark, “Capital of Santee Cooper Country,” by the SC Secretary of State in recognition of its abundant outdoor activities, such as horseback riding, hiking, watersports, boating and freshwater fishing.
